After our dinner at GHEE, we went to Kinpouzan to see night view!
Actually we wanted to play bowling at Wonder. However it was very expensive!
We all excited to see night view! It was very fantastic!
I took many pictures with my new digital camera! :)
Night driving is very exciting! I want to hung out with my friends again!

Curry Rice♪

Last Sunday, I hung out with my friends. We went to GHEE to eat our dinner. GHEE is a curry rice restaurant. One of my friends work there. I ate Chicken Curry. At the restaurant, we had to choose the level of spice. There are levels from -2 to 70. I chose level 5. It was very spicy! However I really liked it! I have never eaten such a delicious curry rice! I want to go there again!

My high school friend, Sachi, has born a baby in last December. Yesterday, I visited Sachi with my friends, Miho and Yukari, to see her baby.
At first, I picked up Miho and Yukari at Tamana Station. We went to a store to buy present. We were very excited to choose baby clothes. After that, we went to Joyfull to eat lunch. We stayed for there about two hours. It was very fun to talk with my best friends! We talked about many things.
Sachi lives in Yamaga. We drove there by my car. I have not seen her about a year and a half so I was very happy to see her!
Sachi's baby was a boy. His name is Yuma. We called him Yumacchi. He was very cute! I was very glad when I held him in my arms. I am looking forward to his growth.

My friend, Yoko, will go to Korea for a year from March. We got to know each other last year in a broadcasting club. We are very good friends so I will miss her. I and other club members are planning a party for her on February 5th. We will play bowling and go to a restaurant to drink and eat. I am really looking forward to this day. We will give her a surprise present. I hope she will be pleased about it.

Rina left to New Zealand today. I cannot believe I won't be able to see her from tomorrow until December. She might be on a plane right now. I read a book called Within High Fences. Nancy was a main character in the story. She lived with Tom in a big house. Tom was very rich so he bought everything to her. Tom didn't like she did something that he didn't want. Nancy worked in a center for asylum seekers as a guard. At work, she met George. George was a kind man and had a beautiful smile. She soon started to like him. She found her true love and realized that she didn't love Tom. However it was difficult to love George because he was an asylum seeker and Nancy was a guard. She couldn't stop her love to George. George also liked Nancy. Nancy decided to leave Tom to be with George. She against the rule and gave him her phone number. She moved in a small flat. Her best friend, Harriet, wanted Nancy to come to her wedding in Scotland so she went there. When she came back to her flat, she found that her room was very messy. Some of her things were not there. Some one stole her CD player, her small television, her gold watch and her passport. She called George but he didn't answer. Nancy felt very bad and sad. Police tried to find him. One day, Harriet invited Nancy to her party. Tom was there and he asked Nancy to go to their old house. She was too ill to say no. In the sitting room, she found her gold watch! Tom took her things! She was very angry. It was not George but Tom! At last, Nancy could find George! She was very happy to see George again!

I enjoyed the story very much. I thought it was very great to be with the person you really love. I think it is difficult to tell if the person is your true love or not. Nancy had some problems but she could get through everything. To love someone is very wonderful thing.

My brother went to school trip to Fukushima and Tokyo. He played skiing and went to Disney Land and some other places. He came back today. I was worrying him because his teacher called my house and told us that my brother had a fever. However he was OK than I thought. He brought home some souvenirs! I was very happy!

We had a party for Rina on January 17th. We gathered at Tomoko's house and held a party for her. We ate pizzas, snacks and cake! They were very delicious! We talked a lot and played card. It was very fun! I had a really great time with Chiho, Chihiro, Tomoko and Rina!
Rina will leave to New Zealand next Sunday. I will miss her because we have been very good friends. I wish her luck in New Zealand. Good luck, Rina!!!

Book Review 2-17

I read a book called Five Children and It. Robert, Anthea, Jane, Cyril and the baby was five children. With Martha, the nursemaid, they moved in the country from London. One day, five children played at the gravel-pit. They met "It" there. It was a sand-fairy, Psammead. It told children that when they get wet, they get ill and they usually die. It can give one wish a day and the wish ends when the sun goes down. Four children thought this was very wonderful! A baby was too young to enjoy wishes. They wished to be beautiful, to be rich, and to get wings and so on. Sometimes it was difficult to think of really good wishes. For every wish, children got happy at first but things often went wrong.

I enjoyed the story very much. I have never read the story like this. "It" looked very strange but if it is possible, I would like to meet it.

Coming of Age Day

I read a book called The Story of the Treasure Seekers. Oswald is a main character in the story. The Bastable family had money before but they were poor now, so they started to look for treasure. Each of the six brothers and sisters had a different idea, so they tried out their ideas one at a time. When they are looking for treasure, they meet many interesting people and a lot of exciting things happen. Noel liked to write poems. He wanted to sell his poems and get money for his family. In the train, they met Mrs. Leslie. She was a nice woman and liked Noel's poems. At a park, they tried to get money from Lord Tottenham. One night, there were robbers at their house. Actually, a robber was their friend's friend. One day, there was a visitor, the Indian Uncle. Children thought he was poor so they welcomed him their lunch. The Indian Uncle was very happy about it. Actually, He was very rich. The Indian Uncle invited everyone to live with him in his big house. Children looked for treasure, and they found a good uncle. That was the best treasure.

The story was very interesting. Many things happened in the story. I thought children were kind because they wanted to help their father. I was happy for them because they could get the best treasure at last! I liked the story very much.

I read a book called Fly Away Home. Amy was a main character in the story. She used to live in New Zealand with her mother. However, she had to live with her father in Canada because of her mother's death. She was not happy at first. She didn't like her father. She missed her mother very much. She hated her new life in Canada. One day, she found sixteen eggs of geese and decided to take care of them. The baby geese followed Amy all the time. They thought she was their mother. In the winter, Canada would be too cold for the geese. They had to fly south for the winter or they would die. However, they didn't know the way without their mother or father. Amy and her dad decided to help them fly away home. It was difficult but they tried again and again. The next spring, they came back home!

I liked the story very much. Amy didn't like her father at first but she started to like him. It was a warm story. I heard they had a movie of Fly Away Home. I would like to watch it if I have a chance.

I read a book called The Cay. Philip, a young white American boy, was a main character in the story. He lived on the Dutch island of Curacao. At the time, there was fighting all round the world. Philip's mother, Grace, wanted to go back to Virginia with Philip. One Friday morning, Philip and his mother rode the SS Hato, a small and smoky Dutch ship. Two days after they left Curacao, the Germans attacked the SS Hato. There was a big explosion. They rode a lifeboat then something hit Philip hard on the head. A long time later, Philip opened his eyes. There was a bad pain in his head. There was a very big, old black man next to him. His name was Timothy. They were the only two people in the lifeboat. While they were in the lifeboat Philip went blind. One day, they found the island. It was the Cay. They started to live there and waited for help. Philip was afraid when he was alone because of his blind eyes. Philip thought he couldn't do anything without Timothy. Timothy knew what Philip thought. Timothy helped Philip. Sooner, Philip could do almost everything by himself. After strong winds, Timothy was dead. Philip was very sad but he could do live by himself now. One day, a plane found him and he could go back to his father and mother again! In a hospital in New York, Philip saw some of the best doctors in the State and he started to see again!

This was a nice story. I thought Philip was a brave boy. I liked the relationship between Philip and Timothy.

I read a book called Remember Miranda. Cathy Wildon was a main character in the story. She got a job at the Harvey family. She had to take care of two children, Tim and Susan, and house. Harvey family was Duncan, a father of children, Grandma, and children. Children's mother, Miranda, was dead two years ago. Nobody talked about Miranda. Harvey family had secrets. Cathy liked kids but she felt uncomfortable at Harvey's house. She wanted to know why Miranda was dead. She met Nick and she started to like him. However, he and Juliet, Miranda's young sister, were in love. Cathy was shocked because they didn't tell about it to her. Cathy wanted to talk to Nick about Miranda. She wanted him to tell her about it. She was waiting for Nick on the beach. Duncan came there too. He told a story that Miranda liked Nick. Nick liked all women. Cathy didn't like Nick anymore. At the house, Cathy, Duncan and Mrs. Harvey talked about Miranda. Mrs. Harvey killed her with her stick. Now, Cathy knew everything about the Harvey family. There was nothing more to be afraid of.

I enjoyed the story. I like mystery story like this. It was very interesting story because I couldn't guess who was a criminal. I was very surprised because grandmother killed Miranda. I was very sorry for her. I didn't like Nick because he was a play boy.

Collaborative Essay

I wrote a collaborative essay with Yumi and Yuki.

We will introduce you about places that are good to visit in Kumamoto.

If you want to go shopping, you should go to Downtown in Kumamoto. The downtown in Kumamoto consists of two main streets which called Shimotouri and Kamitouri. There are many kinds of shops in Shimotouri and many people are visiting there every day. Of course, there are clothes shops in both streets. The prices of clothes are a little expensive, but you'll be able to find nice clothes for you! My favorite shop is PARCO where is in entrance of Shimotouri. Many kinds of clothes and bags are selling there. If you are interested in fashion, please try to visit PARCO. It must be so interesting!

The Kumamoto Hanshin is one of the department stores in Kumamoto. This department store's name had changed from Iwataya to Kumamoto Hanshin about five years ago. Sweets, Foods, clothes and books are selling in each floor. There are some game machines on the top floor. It may be interesting if you go to there with little children.

Do you know the ROUND 1? As there is a ROUND 1 near the Kumamoto station, you'll be able to find easily. We can play various games and sports in there. Many people are coming here on holiday. There is a facilities for children called Spo-cha. You can enjoy this place even if you came with kids! The price is a little expensive, but it is worth playing. I recommend people both who like indoors and outdoors.

Have you ever been to Kumamoto Zoo? There is a Kumamoto Zoo in Kumamoto city. When you go there, you may take trams, cars or buses. There are many lovely animals in this zoo. Many families come here when there are interesting events. My favorite event is cosmos festival. This festival is held in every autumn. Flowerbeds of zoo are covered with colorful and pretty cosmoses. If you like cosmoses, please try to go to zoo in autumn. You'll be able to see nice cosmoses!

There is a castle in Kumamoto city. It is called the Kumamoto Castle. It was made by Kiyomasa Kato in 1607. It is one of the famous castles in Japan. A stone wall called Mushagaeshi is very famous too. Mushagaeshi means to repel from enemy during the Warring State Period. If you want to learn the history of Kumamoto Castle, you should go there! You can see armors, swords, and many things from that time. Next to the castle, there is a park called Ninomaru Park. In the spring, you can enjoy to see cherry blossoms. You can sit on the grass and eat lunch! I'm sure you will love it! Many visitors from all over the world come to the Kumamoto Castle throughout the year.

Green Land is located in Arao City. It is a famous and popular theme park in Kumamoto. You can enjoy many rides there. If you love roller coasters, I recommend you to ride Milky Way. If you are brave, you should try to ride it by standing up. There are some other roller coasters that make you scream! I recommend Nio, Megaton, Viking and Spin Mouse! If you want to get scared, you should go to haunted houses! There are three haunted houses in Green Land. You can enjoy going there with your friends or your boyfriend or girlfriend.

If you like nature, you should go to Kikuchi Valley! You can take a walk along the river and enjoy the view. Air is so clear and you will feel relaxed. Water is very cool so you can enjoy playing with it in summer. You can enjoy seeing colored leaves in fall. Leaves are red, orange, and yellow. They are very pretty. You can eat fresh yamame there.

Otachimisaki Park is located in Ashikita. It is the largest artificial beach in Kumamoto. You can go for a swim in summer. Beach is very large and seawater is beautiful. You can also enjoy hot spring there. The view from open-air bath is very beautiful. On sunny day, you can play at the park. You can enjoy riding kart, playing slide, lawn skiing, putter golf, tennis and fishing! I'm sure you can enjoy there with your friends and your family!

Mt. Aso is located in south of Aso. Mt. Aso is really famous place in Kumamoto. Caldera in Mt. Aso is the biggest caldera all over the world. They are many natures and mountains. It is really beautiful and comfortable place. When you go to Mt. Aso, you will be able to find horses, cows and other animals. You can ride on horse in there. I think if you go there, you have to eat ice-cream cone. It is delicious. I recommend it. There are many kinds of hot springs there. If you want to feel relaxed, why don't you go to Mt. Aso?

Tamana is one of a famous hot springs in Kumamoto. There is a new hot spring facility called "Tsukasa no yu." In there, you can enjoy taking hot springs, eat various foods and get a massage. Many visitors take a walk in the city wearing yukata after taking hot springs. Foot bath is very popular. It is located in Ryuuganji Park. You can use there for free. Many people visit there every day.

Yamaga city has many hot springs. Yamaga's hot springs are not so famous, but it is really nice. It is not expensive. There is hot spring called "Ashi-yu" which is bath for foot. You don't need take off your clothes. You don't need to pay money. I'm sure you will enjoy those hot springs. After taking a bath, you can enjoy walking around Yamaga city.

Yachiyoza is located in Yamaga city. It is a playhouse. It was designated as a nationally important cultural property. It was built in 1910, so this building is very old. If you go there, you'll notice that is old and historical building. Sometimes you can see old play, modern music and so on. If you want to learn more about this building's history, you can join tour. This building is really interesting. You'll find good old shops outside.

Every August 15th, "Tourou" festival is held in Yamaga. "Tourou" festival is very famous in Japan. Many visitors come to see it. Women wear "Yukata" and put on "Tourou" on their head. It is very beautiful and interesting. Of course, there are many interesting shops, and big exhibition of fire works. The festival is really exciting.

Last Tuesday, I ate okonomiyaki at a restaurant. I forgot the name of the restaurant. In there, I ate okonomiyaki of Hiroshima style. I ate it for the first time in my life! It was very delicious. I recommend okonomiyaki of Hiroshima style! Please try it!

Movie Review 06 (Shrek)

Movie 6: Shrek

Shrek was an animation movie. It contained adventure, fantasy, romance and comedy. Shrek was a main character in the story. He was a green ogre. He lived in a swamp alone. People tried to capture him but they couldn’t because everyone was scared of him.

One day, Lord Farquaad ordered all fairytale creatures to live in swamp where Shrek lived. Shrek didn’t like the idea and he wanted his swamp back. He decided to persuade Farquaad so he went to Duloc with a donkey. The donkey was very special because he could speak. He was talkative and very loud. When they got to Farquaad’s castle, Farquaad was looking for a man who could rescue Princess Fiona. Farquaad wanted to become the King so he needed to marry her. However, she was captured in a castle with a dragon. Farquaad chose Shrek for the man to rescue Princess Fiona.

Shrek rescued Princess Fiona and knocked the dragon down. Princess Fiona was looking for her true love’s kiss. She was a little disappointed because the person who rescued her was not a prince but Shrek. However, they got along well with each other during their trip back to Duloc. They started to love each other.

Princess Fiona had a secret. When sun goes down, she turned to ugly green ogre like Shrek. When she was a little child, a witch put a curse on her. The curse would go away when she get her true love’s kiss.

Shrek didn’t want Princess Fiona to marry to Farquaad. Shrek tried to disturb their wedding. Shrek told Princess Fiona that he loved her. She was very happy because she loved him too. When sun goes down, she changed to an ugly ogre. Farquaad didn’t like it and he tried to capture her. However, Shrek’s love to her didn’t change. Bonds of affection between them were very strong. They kissed and got married.

I love this story. Shrek looked like a scary ogre but actually he was a kind man. This story told us that we shouldn’t judge people by their appearance. Appearance is not so important. We should judge people by their personality. I liked the beginning and ending of the story because it was like a picture book. This movie was a very warm story but also fun. I laughed a lot while I watched the movie. I would like to watch Shrek 2 and Shrek 3.

I read a book called Heidi. Heidi was a main character in the story. Heidi lived with her grandfather in his little wooden house, high up in the mountains of Switzerland. She loved living there. Peter was Heidi's good friend. They climbed up the mountain with the goats. Heidi loved Peter's grandmother. She loved to talk with her. She loved her life in the mountain. One day, her aunt, Dete, came and took Heidi to Clara's home in Frankfurt. Clara liked Heidi and Heidi liked Clara. They soon became good friends. However, Heidi wanted to go back to the mountains. She missed everything in the mountains. Clara's grandmother was nice to Heidi. She taught her how to read. She told Heidi that if she cannot tell somebody, she can talk to God and ask for his help. She told God that she really wanted to go back to her grandfather's home. Since Heidi was unhappy, she was walking in her sleep! The doctor told Mr. Seemann that they should send Heidi home. Heidi was very happy to go home again. She brought some nice white bread for Peter's grandmother. They were very glad to see each other again! Heidi's grandfather was happy too! Heidi and her grandfather started to go to the church! They moved to an old house near the church for Heidi's school at the winter. After the winter, they went back to the mountain. One day, Clara visited Heidi with her grandmother! Clara became to like mountains! Peter was not friendly to Clara at first because he didn't like Heidi to have other friends. He pushed Clara's wheelchair down the mountain so she wouldn't be able to go to mountains with them. Clara's wheelchair was broken so she had to walk with some help. Finally, she could walk with her feet! Everyone was very happy!

I enjoyed the story very much. When I was a little girl, I loved watching the animation of Heidi. It is a very warm story. I would love to go to Switzerland and eat cheese!

I read a book called A Christmas Carol. Scrooge was a main character in the story. He was a hard man and he loved money. He was a cold man and didn't have any friends. He didn't like Christmas. When someone said "Merry Christmas!" to him, he said "Humbug!" His nephew, Fred, invited him for a party, but he refused it. When two men visited his office to ask for money for poor people, he said he didn't want to give any money for them. He was mean to his clerk, Bob, and he didn't give him much money, holidays and much coal for fire.
One time, three ghosts visited him. They show him his past life, his life now, and a possible future.
The ghost of past Christmas showed him Scrooge in the past. He watched his past life. He was very excited. Little Scrooge was enjoying Christmas very much. Scrooge was a very nice young man.
The ghost of Christmas now showed him Scrooge in now. He watched Bob's family. They were very poor but they were very happy. Tiny Tim was the youngest child of Bob. He was very small for his age. The boy was very ill. Ghost told Scrooge that Tiny Tim will die in the future. Next place was Fred's house. The party seemed very fun and Scrooge wanted to join them.
The ghost of future Christmas showed him Scrooge in the future. Unhappy man with unhappy life was dead. No one sad because of he was dead. The man was Scrooge. He learned from the past, from now and from the possible future. He decided to be kind at Christmas. He would be kind all year. He would change his future!
It was Christmas. He saw the man who visited his office. Scrooge gave him money. In afternoon, he visited Fred's house. It was a wonderful party with lovely food and games, and everybody was very, very happy. Next morning, Scrooge told Bob that he would give him more money and he would help him with his family. Scrooge told Bob to put more coal on the fire and he could take some coal into his room.
Tiny Tim did not die. Scrooge was a good man and a good friend. He always had a good time at Christmas and he never said "Humbug!" again.

I enjoyed the story very much. It was nice to see how Scrooge changed after three ghosts visited him. No one is happy to live alone.

Movie 5: School of Rock

School of Rock was a comedy and music movie. Dewey Finn was a main character in the story. He loved rock music and belonged to his own rock band. However, he got fired from his band. He had many debts so he had to find a new job to pay for his rent and his bills. He lived with his friend, Ned Schneebly. Ned used to belong to a band but he quit it and gave up his dream. Ned had a job as a substitute teacher. One day, Dewey got a phone call from Forest Green Elementary School. The school wanted Ned to work. Dewey pretended to be Ned and accepted the job.

One day, students had a music class and Dewey saw it. He found some students who were talented in music. He decided to make a rock band with his students. He told his students that making the band was one of the school project and they would have a competition. All students were given their part in the band. Zack played the lead guitar, Lawrence played the keyboard, Katie played the bass guitar, Fred played the drum, Summer was a manager of the band and Dewey was a vocalist. Their band’s name was “School of Rock.” They secretly practiced at the school.

Dewey’s salary was sent to his house. On the envelope, there was the name of Ned. It came out that Dewey was pretending Ned and working at the school. Dewey had to quit the school. At first, students were disappointed at Dewey but they wanted to go to the competition with him. School principal and students’ parents were opposed to the rock band. They went to the competition to stop students. However, once they saw School of Rock’s performance, they became to like it. Everyone at the competition liked School of Rock. They couldn’t get any award but their performance was successful.

I enjoyed this movie very much. Dewey’s character was very funny and nice. He brought out the students’ music talent. I like the relationships between Dewey and his students. I believe if there were a teacher like Dewey, it would be fun to go to school. The movie told me that chasing a dream is very wonderful thing. Although it is difficult to make a dream reality, we shouldn’t give up. I love this kind of school comedy movie.

I read a book called Different Worlds. Samantha was a main character in the story. She was deaf. This story was about Sam's love story with Jim, who was not deaf. Jim was working at the shop across the road from her house. She watched him from her bedroom window. Until she first saw him, she didn't think very often about being deaf. However, after she saw Jim, she wanted to be like most other people. Every Saturday, she went to the shop to buy something. One day, she bought a newspaper. Jim talked to her but she was embarrassed to talk with him because she was deaf. She just smiled and left the shop. She felt sad.
Ron, Sam's best friend, knew about Jim so he invited her to go to a party. They went to a party and Sam saw Jim. Sam and Jim played with snow. They had a really good time until a girl in the red dress came.
Sam liked Jim and Jim liked Sam. They started going out. She was very happy being with him. However, the girl in the red dress told Sam that she was Jim's girlfriend before Sam. She told Sam about Jim's music band and she wanted Sam to stay away from Jim. Sam was very sad.
One night, Sam's mother invited Jim to have dinner at Sam's house. Jim told Sam about Lauren and his musical band. Jim loved Sam very much. At last, she was happy ever after.

This story was interesting. I could feel how deaf people were thinking. I think it is very difficult for Sam and Jim to communicate. I thought it is like to communicate between people speak other languages. I often have problems speaking English. However, if we try to understand, we could understand well! The important thing to understand people is not only languages but also our hearts.

Mrs. Doubtfire was a comedy movie. Daniel Hillard was a main character in this story. Daniel was a voice actor for cartoon characters but he lost his job. He was a very kind man and good father of Lydia, Chris and Natalie. Kids loved Daniel and Daniel loved his kids. However, Daniel’s wife Miranda was tired with him. One day, Daniel held a birthday party for Chris then Miranda decided to get divorce with him. Daniel was very sad because Miranda was given custody of the kids and he was allowed to visit them once a week. Daniel couldn’t stand it. Miranda was looking for a housekeeper that who could take care of her kids. Daniel decided to be a housekeeper to spend his time with his lovely kids. Daniel’s brother Frank was a makeup artist so he made the special mask for Daniel. Daniel dressed up as an old English woman, Mrs. Doubtfire, and got a job as a housekeeper. Miranda and kids liked her. They didn’t notice that she was Daniel. Lydia and Chris found out Mrs. Doubtfire was their father but kept it secret. Daniel got another job and would have an important meeting at the restaurant called Bridges at seven o’clock on Friday. Miranda had a new boyfriend, Stuart, and the family would have a dinner with him at same restaurant on same day. Daniel changed his clothes in the bathroom at the restaurant. When Stuart choked on his food, Mrs. Doubtfire helped him. Suddenly, the mask peeled off from his face and was found Mrs. Doubtfire was Daniel. He was very sad because he was fired so he wouldn’t see his children everyday. Miranda was looking for a new housekeeper but there were not good one as Mrs. Doubtfire. Miranda decided to ask Daniel to come to take care of kids as a father but not as a housekeeper. Everyone was happy at last.

I enjoyed this movie very much. I like the father like Daniel who loves his children a lot. I think it was a great idea that Daniel changed to Mrs. Doubtfire and pretended as a housekeeper. I liked the character of Mrs. Doubtfire. She was very cute and charming. Daniel would do anything to see his children. I could feel how much he loved his kids. It is not only a comedy movie but also a wonderful family movie.

I read a book called The House on the Hill. Paul was a main character in this story. He lived in a small town and he was poor. He wanted to be a writer and work for a newspaper.
One day, he went for a walk and went down to the river. Suddenly he saw the girl named Maria. She was very beautiful and soon Paul fell in love. Maria said she liked Paul too. Paul asked her to marry with him but she looked very sad and ran away. He did not understand her. He went to the house on the hill with the servant. Maria's mother said to him that he couldn't marry Maria because he was poor. He was very sad. One day, he saw the newspaper that was about Maria's wedding. Her husband was old and fat. Paul turned the newspaper over angrily. He saw an advertisement about Story Competition on the back page of the newspaper. He decided to write his story for the competition. Two weeks later, a letter came from the newspaper. He won first prize! He also got the job. He loved his work on the newspaper. He worked hard. One day, a reporter came into the office and told everyone that Maria ran away from her husband and it killed her mother.
Paul went to her mother's funeral. Maria looked sad. Nobody spoke to her. He thought about her when he went home. He wanted to see Maria and wanted to talk to her. He went to the house on the hill. He was looking for Maria. She looked like her mother. She didn't like Paul. She only liked money. Paul didn't like Maria anymore.

I enjoyed the story. I don't like people who think money is the most important thing in the world. I think love is more important than money. I hope Paul can find his true love!

My usual weekends

I'll talk about my usual weekends. On Friday after school, I have a part time job. After the fourth period, I hurry to bus stop to take a bus to town. I am a waitress at Mexican restaurant. I can learn Spanish language there. There are many customers who are not Japanese and also who are Japanese. I am enjoying my part time job. I finish my work at eleven o'clock because I have to take my last train to go home. On Saturday, I wake up and do some homework. I have a part time job on Saturday too. I take train from Tamana to Kumamoto. I am satisfied with my work. On Sunday, I can do whatever I want. Recently, I have many assignments to do so I do them. When I have a free time, I go out. I like to go shopping, karaoke, bowling, and movies. I also like to eat out. Driving is also fun. I am a good driver. I also like to spend my free time in my house. I like watching TV, reading magazines, and cleaning my room.

I read a book called Hotel Casanova. Dino was a main character in the story. He worked at the reception of the Hotel Grand. He was twenty one years old. He had a plan. The plan was that he would get married when he became twenty six years old and he would have his own hotel when he became thirty years old. However, Carla Maretti changed his plans. When he met her, he fell in love with her! He thought about her all days. Carla also liked him so they got married. Carla bought a hotel for Dino. He was very happy until he found out that Carla didn't want him to go anywhere without her. He also found out that Carla had a husband and she killed him before Carla and Dino got married. Carla was a very crazy woman! He wasn't happy with her anymore. A week went by, Dino needed some new waiters and waitresses for his hotel. Maria Luca, the girl who worked with him at the Hotel Grand, came there. Dino was very happy to see her and was glad to work with her again. They fell in love. Carla was very angry about it. One day, Dino decided to leave the hotel with Maria. They got a gondola. Carla wanted to kill Dino and Maria. However, the fireboat went into Carla's hotel boat. Carla and the hotel boat went down into the dirty waters of the Grand Canal.

I enjoyed the story. I liked some sentences. They were "Sometimes you must take what life gives you." and "We just see what we want to see." I think these are true. I thought to love someone was difficult. If you were in love, everything looks perfect. I was glad Dino finally found his true love.

Movie 3: Romeo and Juliet

Romeo and Juliet was a pitiful love story which was written by Shakespeare. There were two powerful families, the Montagues and the Capulets, in Verona. These families hated each other and were fighting for a long time. Romeo was a son of the Montagues and Juliet was a daughter of the Capulets. One day, there was a party held by the Capulets. Every one was invited except the Montagues but Romeo went there. At the party, Romeo and Juliet fell in love each other at first sight. Soon, they found out that the person who caught their eyes was a member of the enemy family. However they couldn’t stop love each other. Next day, they secretly married with the help of Father Lawrence. After the wedding, Romeo went to the beach to see his friends, Benvolio and Mercutio. There was Juliet’s cousin, Tibalt, at the beach. Tibalt started to fight but Romeo didn’t want to fight with him. Tibalt had a knife and he killed Mercutio with it. Romeo got angry and killed Tibalt with his gun. Romeo was banished from Verona. Juliet was very sad. Her father decided to marry her to Paris but she didn’t want to. Juliet visited Father Lawrence and got a potion from him. The potion would make it look like Juliet is dead. The plan was that Romeo would rescue her when she wakes up. Romeo heard the news before reading the message so he believed Juliet was dead. Romeo bought a poison and went to Juliet’s tomb to die next to her. Juliet woke up and found Romeo was dead. She killed herself with Romeo’s gun.

Romeo and Juliet is a very famous story but I watched this movie for the first time. I like this kind of love story but I thought the ending of the story was very sad. Even though the story was sad, I thought to love someone was wonderful. This story tells us that people can’t live without love. In the story, there were many beautiful lines. I heard that when people fell in love, they became a poet. I thought the story showed it. After watching Romeo and Juliet, I’m interested in Shakespeare. I would love to watch other stories of Shakespeare.

I read a book called Rich Man, Poor Man. Adam lived in a small village. He was a farmer and poor. One day, he got a letter from his only son, Saul. He and his wife, Martha, couldn't read so the school teacher read it for them. Saul sent them one hundred pounds. There was a money order in the letter. The next morning he got up very early and went to Darpur by the bus. He went to the Post Office to get the money. However, he couldn't get the money because he didn't have an Identity Card. He went to the Ministry of the Interior to get an Identity Card. The official told him to come back next day with the application form, three photographs of himself and two pounds. He went to photo studio and took a photograph. The photographer told him to come back next morning. He went back to his village. He was very tired. On Thursday, he traveled to Darpur again. He went to the photo studio to get his photographs. However the photographer said he didn't know about it. Adam was very angry and hit the photographer with his stick. A policeman caught Adam. He went back to his village. He was tired and angry. Next day, he told his story to all the villagers. The school teacher introduced him about Mr. Sheth. Adam traveled to Darpur again for the third time. He met Mr. Sheth. Mr. Sheth told Adam that the money order was worthless. Mr. Sheth took Adam's money order and gave him ten pounds.

I suspected that Mr. Sheth was lying. I didn't like the ending of this story. I felt sorry for Adam.

I read a book called The Long Tunnel. Paul, Shelia and Charles were first year students at university in England. They were sitting their first year exams. After the examination, they were talking about their summer vacation in a cafe. Paul would go to Wales to stay in his uncle's cottage. Sheila and Charles decided to go there to stay with Paul for a week. Three students made arrangements for their holiday in Wales. The plan was that they would meet at Llanvoy station at half past one on the fifth of August. On the day, Shelia and Charles arrived at Llanvoy station but Paul wasn't there. They thought Paul forgot about the plan, so they decided to go to the cottage by themselves. There were a lot of soldiers near the station. Some soldiers were loading bags into the lorry. Shelia and Charles wondered what was in these bags. When they arrived at the cottage, there was not Paul but a stranger there. At first, they thought they'd come to the wrong cottage. However, Shelia found Paul's examination paper. It showed them that the cottage　was Paul's. At the night, there was a lorry outside of the cottage. Men got the bags out of the lorry and into the cottage. Men were talking about Paul. Paul was in the upstairs bedroom. Shelia climbed up onto the top of the porch and got in through a window. She helped Paul and he told her what was happening. Men were going to rob a train. They would use a shaft behind the cottage that went down into the railway tunnel. Three students tried to stop these men. They covered the entrance and put some heavy stones on top of it. Men couldn't get out and police caught them.

I enjoyed the story. I hate robbers. I can't understand why some people try to rob. It is very bad thing. I thought Paul, Shelia and Charles were brave and their friendship was real.

I went to Ninomaru Park to eat lunch today. The weather was perfect so my boyfriend and I decided to go there. We bought our lunch at Hokka-hokka-tei. It was very good to eat under the sky. We had a really great time. I would like to go there again!

I read a book called Dangerous Journey.
Four men, Leon, Manuel, Joe and Pedro, were working in the forest. They were looking for iron and other metals. Leon was the boss. Joe was always making trouble. He was younger than Leon and he was clever. He wanted to be boss.
They had to leave the forest because the rain would start soon and there would be mud everywhere. They put their luggage into the truck. The rain was falling heavily and Joe drove faster. The track was very muddy and the truck began to slide and stopped. Leon ordered everyone to move the truck but Joe didn't listen to him. Pedro and Manuel pushed the back of the truck then it moved forward. At that moment, a large branch flew up from under a wheel and it hit Leon's arm. Joe nursed Leon's arm.
They drove down towards the bridge and found the bridge was broken. They decided to cross the river by the boat. Pedro could cross the river safely but Leon couldn't and he was in trouble. Joe helped Leon and he saved his life. They were on a rock in the middle of the river. A helicopter came and saved them.

This story was OK. I thought Joe was a real leader. He knew what to do and if someone was in trouble, he saved their lives. I'm glad that Leon and Joe became good friends at last.

Kill Bill is an action movie. The Bride whose code name was Black Mamba was a main character in this story. She was a member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad which led by Bill. This story was about the Bride’s revenge. The Bride lost her husband, baby, friends and family at her wedding by the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. Bill tried to kill the Bride but she was miraculously survived. She was sleeping almost four years at a hospital. In Kill Bill Vol. 1, she revenged on Vernita Green and O-Ren Ishii. Her first target was Vernita Green. Vernita quitted the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad and lived happily with her daughter and her husband. The Bride visited Vernita’s house and they had a battle. Vernita was killed by the Bride in front of her daughter. The Bride’s second target was O-Ren Ishii. She flied to Okinawa and got a sword from Hattori Hanzo. After that, she headed to Tokyo to kill O-Ren Ishii. O-Ren was the top of the Tokyo criminal underworld and the leader of the Crazy 88 crime gang. O-Ren had so many guards so the Bride had to fight with them before fought with O-Ren. At last, The Bride killed O-Ren with her sword.

I watched this movie for the first time. I didn’t like the scene when they had the battle. It was very scared and I couldn’t watch all with my eyes opened. However, I could enjoy the story. I liked the scene when they showed the animation of O-Ren’s childhood. It was very interesting that the story was taken in Japan and some characters were speaking Japanese. I haven’t watched action movies that much until now, but I found action movies were exciting. I would like to watch Kill Bill 2 and other action movies.

Movie 1: Toy Story

Toy Story is a movie film that made by Disney Pixar. This story was about a toys’ world. All toys were Andy’s. Andy loved his toys especially Woody. Woody was a toy of cowboy and was a main character in this story. Woody was a leader of all toys and every toys respected him until Buzz came. Buzz were Andy’s new toy which Andy’s mother gave Andy on his birthday. Buzz was a cool space ranger action figure and soon became Andy’s most favorite toy. Buzz took Woody’s place. Andy played a lot with Buzz and all toys were interested in him. Woody felt alone. Woody tried to kick out Buzz then Buzz fell down from a window. The adventure started from here. Woody and Buzz were caught by Sid, a bully boy, who lived next to Andy’s house. They tried to escape but it was not easy. They quarrel first but they became really good buddy at last. When they get together, everything would be fine.

This story was very interesting. I watched this for the first time for this movie review and I became one of the fans of Toy Story. If toys were alive like this movie, it would be fun. I think this movie was good. You could watch a toys’ world and could know what toys were thinking. I liked the scene which all toys were scared of Andy’s birthday. I also liked the scene which Woody and all Sids’ toys tried to scare Sid by showing they were alive! I believe Sid would never going to bully toys again. I like this movie. I would like to watch Toy Story 2 too.

In the train, she fell asleep. When she woke up, there was a man in the carriage with her. His name was Sam. He had an ugly face, and he was very big and strong. His hair was very short. He looked bad and dangerous. The man told her that they passed by Naira two hours ago. She was very sad. She saw a newspaper on his seat. There was his picture and it was saying “This man is a dangerous fighter!” The man said he would help her but she couldn’t trust him.
She met two men, Tino and Bubs, at a café inside the hotel. They were nice to her but she still couldn’t trust them.
Next day, Sam took her to a big building. There was a notice outside the building and she understood that Sam was a boxer! Sam won the game and Anna was so excited! After the game, he took her to her aunt’s house in Naira. She was very happy.

This story was very interesting! I realized it was not good to assume people by their look. Their look and their characteristics are not always same. When we meet someone for the first time, we should talk to them and get to know them. I could enjoy this story and could learn an important thing in my life.

Recently, I hung out with my boyfriend and his friends a lot on the weekends. Last Sunday, I went out to eat dinner with them. We went to an Italian restaurant. In there, you can eat pasta, pizza and other foods as much as you want. I love Italian foods so I was very happy. We ate too much. We talked a lot. I had a very good time with them. I love watching movies. Watching movies is one of my hobbies. I often go to a movie theater with my boyfriend. The movie theater is a very nice place. We can watch movies with a big screen. I like the dim light there because it makes nice atmosphere. Movie theaters have special days. For example, 1st day of every month, we can watch movies for 1000 yen. They also have lady’s day. I think those systems are very nice for people who don’t have much money like university students. I love watching movies at the theater but I also like to watch them at my home. When I have free time, I lend some DVDs and watch them at my home. I love many kinds of movies. Last summer vacation, I was addicted to horror movies. After watching them, I can’t go to bathroom or sleep alone. They were very scary but I couldn't stop watching them.

I read a book called The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. I've heard the title of this story before but this was the first time I read it. Tom Sawyer was a main character in this story. Huckleberry Finn was Tom's friend. They were crafty boys.
One Saturday, Tom had to paint the fence. He was the unhappiest boy in his village. His friends came to laugh at Tom but he had an idea. He tried to show them painting the fence is fun. Soon his friends wanted to paint the fence.
One night, Tom and Huck went to the graveyard with the dead cat to see ghosts. There were not ghosts but some men: Muff Potter, Injun Joe and Doctor Robinson. Injun Joe killed Doctor Robinson but Injun Joe lied that Muff Potter killed Doctor Robinson. However, Tom proved the person who killed Doctor Robinson was Injun Joe!

This story was very interesting! I liked the character of Tom! He was very smart and knew what to do. I didn't know Huck was in this story. When Tom and Huck got together, everything would be all right. I want to read the book of Adventures of Huckleberry Finn next time!

I like music very much. I listen to music especially when I am in my car. Music makes my driving time more fun. I listen to many kinds of music. I like to listen to new songs and find my new favorites. When I don’t feel good or I am in a bad mood, I listen to music. My fear will decrease. My favorite singer group is HY. I like their songs especially Nao and Monokuro. I know these songs are sad love songs but when I listen to them, I feel good old mood. I like J-pops but I also like Western music. My favorite singers are Avril Lavigne, Hilary Duff, Gwen Stefani and so on. Recently, I am interested in Latin music because I listen to them at my part time job. Latin music is very cheerful. I read a book called The Lottery Winner. Emma Carter was seventy-three years old and did not have much money. One day, she was walking home happily with her new shoes. Suddenly, she got in trouble. Somebody ran up behind her, hit her on the head, and snatched her bag out of her hands. She saw a tall young man with long, dirty brown hair. This man's name was Jason Williams. He stole a little money and a lottery ticket from Emma. He was angry because there weren't lots of money.
One day, he opened a newspaper and found the winning lottery numbers: 5, 12, 23, 24, 38, 41. He checked the lottery ticket. Six winning numbers! The lottery ticket which he stole from Emma had winning numbers. He was a winner. He got a cheque from Sunshine Lotteries for five million pounds!
Emma was watching TV and saw Jason. She found the guy who snatched her bag and her lottery ticket. She called a police. Police caught Jason and asked him many questions. However Jason lied. He wanted five million pounds so he asked for lawyer's help! However, he didn't notice that the lawyers are expensive! At the end of court, all money will go to lawyers.

This story was interesting. I wanted all money would back to Emma Carter. However, all money would go to expensive lawyers! This ending is very sad to Emma because if Jason hadn't stolen a bag from Emma, all money would be Emma's! I don't like a guy like Jason. He is such a bad person!

I like shopping. It is fun to look around stores and find clothes which I like. However, I haven't gone shopping lately. I spent money during summer vacation, so I don't have enough money to buy clothes.
I'm saving my money right now. I bring lunch from my house so I don't have to spend my money on lunch.
My payday is this weekend. I am looking forward it! When I get money, I will go shopping to buy autumn clothes, cute boots, and so on. I cannot wait!!!

Takumasai

Takumasai is a school festival at Kumamoto Gakuen University. I have a really good memory for Takumasai from last year. Last year, I belonged to a broadcasting club. Takumasai is very important to people who belong to clubs. We prepared it for a long time. Our club made films. It was fun to make our original dramas.

In Takumasai, every club opened their stores. Our club sold parfait, a flavor of powdered green tea and sweet potato. They were very delicious! I also enjoyed other clubs’ stores!

Kouyasai was fun! Our club received a prize for costumes that we made for parade in town. We were very happy about it! We saw some video and fireworks! Everything was great! After Kouyasai, our club gathered at a front of a library and 3rd grader gave us their speeches. Their speeches impressed me a lot. I couldn't keep back my tears. I love 3rd graders! They were really nice to us!

Takumasai was one of very memorial events for me of college life!

Summer Vacation

I really enjoyed my summer vacation! I hung out with my best friends from high school, went to many places with my boyfriend, and so on. One of my best memories from this summer was that I went to Oita with my boyfriend. We drove to there. We stayed at a Japanese-style hotel in Beppu. It was very nice place! We really enjoyed hot springs there. I enjoyed eating Onsen-pudding!

Next day, we went to Umitamago, a famous aquarium in Oita. I love an aquarium very much. When I go there, I could feel as if I were in the ocean! My most favorite animal in Umitamago was a walrus! There was a show of walrus. The walrus in Umitamago could do sit-ups! The way he did sit-ups was very cute and charming! He also could a kiss! Put a hand front of his mouth and say “chu” he’ll give a kiss to you. I wanted to try it but I was a little scared. However, my boyfriend got a kiss from a walrus! He was a brave man!

I enjoyed my trip to Oita with my boyfriend! I hope to go to somewhere else with him next vacation!

I read a book called L.A. Raid. Len is a main character in the story. He is a private detective.

One day, he went to a bank, First City Bank, to put his money. Then he got a big surprise. He saw a duck! Actually, he saw someone with a duck mask on!

He got a phone call from Mr. Carter, the president of the First City Bank. Mr. Carter wanted Len to be his private detective. People say Len is the best private detective in Los Angeles. That was the reason why Mr. Carter wanted Len’s help.

The bank was in trouble. There were five robberies. The bank lost $150,000,000.

Len decided to ask a bank manager about how a bank works. He asked to see the manager and waited outside the manager’s office. The door opened and a woman with long blonde hair came out. She was carrying a plastic shopping bag. He waited but nothing happened. The secretary opened the door and screamed. A man was sitting at the desk and his hands and legs were tied with rope. There was a tape over his mouth. Len found out that the robber was a woman.

Len was trying to catch the robber but he was caught by police. He could leave the police station but he lost his job as a private detective.

Two people in duck masks were standing his office. They took off their masks. Len saw twin blonde women. They told Len that they were working for Mr. Carter.

Len took the letter which twin gave him that showed about Carter and bank robberies to the police. Carter was arrested and Len was a detective again!

This story was really interesting! I couldn’t imagine that the robbers were beautiful twin while I was reading. I couldn’t understand why Mr. Carter did such a thing. I think Len is a great private detective! I’m happy for him because he could work as a detective again and could meet two beautiful women!

I like writing class because we use computers in the class. It is more fun to work on with a computer than with a textbook. I started blogging from this year. At first, it was not easy for me to write blog. I felt lazy to get on-line and write them. However, I'm enjoying to write blog now. I like to take pictures with my cell phone and it is fun to share it with my friends through my blog. I like to read my friends' blog too. I could know what my friends did on their weekends or what they were thinking on their minds. I like to write comments on their blogs and also like to get some comments from them. I realized that blogging helped me to improve my English writhing ability. Every week, we have a typing test at begging of the class. It is very challenging for me but I believe it helps my English. I used to belong to a broadcasting club but I quit it when I become a sophomore. Yesterday, I had a reunion party with my friends from the club! I was waiting for this time for a long time. We got together at front of daiei. I was very very happy to see my friends again! We sometimes see each other at school but I don't have a chance to talk with them. We went to Gi-ra to eat and drink! I got drunk a little. We talked a lot! After that, we went to Festa to take Prikura. It was first time I took Prikura with 11 people! I had a really great time with my friends! We are planning to do a reunion party again! I hope I can hang out with them during the summer vacation!!! I love my friends from the club!!!

I read a book called Another World. BZXY741 was a main character in this story. He lived in Eden City. Eden City was the happy world. Everyone lived there was very happy. He loved his city very much.
One day, he met a girl, Eve. She was very beautiful but she was strange. She told him that Eden City was not a real world and she wanted to take him to a real world. He couldn't understand her but he decided to go to the real world with her. Real world was not beautiful. He didn't like there. In Eden City, they never get old than 25 years old. It was first time for him to see old people. He didn't like them. He felt embarrassed about family. He wanted to back Eden City.
When he back, he was very happy. He was happy to be a citizen in Eden City.
In the Ministry of The People's Happiness, a young woman with grey eyes knocked on a door. It was Eve. Her name was EV007. She was a citizen in Eden City. She was testing BZ, if he was a perfect man for The Team. He was a perfect.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Rina recommend this book to me. I could read this without stopping. I was very surprised that Eve was testing BZ. I love this kind of story.

My favorite movie

My favorite movie is Titanic. This is the best love story I have ever watched. I watched this movie many times but I never got tired watching it. Whenever I watch it, I always cry.

Jack and Rose were main characters in this story. Jack was a poor man but he got a ticket for a luxurious ship, Titanic. He seemed a lucky man but actually he had a bad luck. If he hadn’t ridden Titanic, he might not dead that young age. Rose was a rich girl and was engaged to a man. She was reluctant to marry him. She met Jack in Titanic and they fell in love.

Titanic was headed to America from England. However, Titanic crashed into an iceberg on the way. The side of a ship broke up and the ship was flooded. Not everyone could escape safely. Many people dead include Jack. Rose was survived because Jack helped her to climb on a boat. Jack sacrificed himself for Rose. I was very impressed by Jack’s love to Rose. This was the sad love story. I wish both of Jack and Rose were escaped safely.

I like a pose that they did at a forward part of a ship. This pose was very famous. Rose stretched her arms parallel to a floor and Jack took her waist. A scene was very romantic as if there were only Jack and Rose in the world.

When the ship was sinking, everyone was very anxious and confused. Music band players played music and tried to cheer up passengers. I thought they were really brave.

This is the best movie I have ever watched. I recommend this movie to everyone.

I read a book called John Doe.
At a hospital, a doctor ask a man his name. However he didn't answer. The doctor thought this was very weird. He could speak, understood words, but didn't know his name. Doctor Cox decided to call him John because when they find a man and they don't know his name, they call him John Doe. Actually his name was John. He had lots of names, lots of surnames. His first name is always John.
Detective Jenny went to see Susan Peters, the TV producer. She made the programme "Crimeseek". They were talking about a woman who died. That was Mary. They found the letter which Mary wrote. She didn't finish the letter. She was writing about a man called John Roberts in it. They wondered who was he?
John went to nurse Angela's house. She didn't know that he was a killer so she welcomed him to her house. Doctor Cox was on his vacation and watched a news about John on TV! He was very surprised! John tried to kill Angela. At last, he was caught by police.

This story was OK. I don't like this kind of stories that much. This story was not that interesting to read for me.

7 months anniversary

July 6 was my boyfriend and my 7 months anniversary. We celebrated it today. At first, we went to Kumamoto city. We looked around some shops. There were too many people in the city. I read a book called "parallel." Max was a main character in this story. He was a killer. He killed a woman at a station. Three years later, weird thing happened to him. Mr. Fairhead came to his house. He had pictures of Max. Max was a priest in pictures. Who was he? Was he real Max? He wondered and couldn't understand. Mr. Fairhead told him this was a Max in parallel world. Parallel world is the place which you made different decisions from you in this world. Max wanted to go to parallel world and see Max as a priest. In parallel London, he met a Max as a priest. Max asked him why he became a priest. The priest told him about his story. He lost his parents and lovely sister as Max did. He was very angry and didn't want to talk to anyone. One day, he went to a church. He heard his mother's voice in the church. After that, he didn't feel angry. He felt good. Then he became a priest. This was parallel world's Max choices. However other Max went to the driver's house one night and killed him.
Max went to a house to kill a woman. There was a woman who Max killed. She was alive in parallel world. Mr. Fairhead was her father. He tried to kill Max.

This story was very deep. I realized our decisions made our lives. Everyday we have to make our own decisions. It is very important for us. This story was very interesting!

I went to shopping with Rina today. After school, we went to Suizenji Station. However trains were not moving because of rain. We didn't want to wait there so we decided to take a tram to go to Kumamoto Station. On the way, the rain begun to let up so we decided to go to kumamoto city to do our shopping!!! At first, we ate our lunch at McDonald's! We ate teriyaki burgers! They were very delicious! There were pictures of shrek on cups. That was very cute! I liked it! After lunch, we went to Parco and did our shopping! I bought some clothes! I had a really good time with Rina today!

I’m forty years old right now. I live with my husband and three children. We live happily. We live in a big house with a large garden. On the weekends, we often hold a barbecue party in our garden. Our garden is too large that our dog is running around cheerfully. We have a pool in our garden. In summer, our children enjoy swimming. I really enjoy spending time with my family. We are very rich because my husband and I work really hard.

My job is an English and Spanish teacher for little kids. Before I got married, I was a tour conductor. I love traveling many places so I was enjoying this job very much. I studied English and Spanish very hard in my university days so I could speak them fluently. As a tour conductor, I went to many countries where English and Spanish were used. I really liked the job but I quitted it because I wanted to spend more time with my family. I like my job as a teacher too.

My family loves to go travel on holidays. We go to foreign countries once a year. We have been to America, Canada, Mexico, Italy, Spain, France and Korea so far. Our most favorite country is America. We have been to many states such as California, Nevada, Florida, New York, and South Carolina. My husband also speaks English well. Our children are interested in English and they are studying it right now.

When all children grow up, my husband and I are going to move to America and live there for rest of our life. I’m enjoying my life very much and I love it.

I read a book called “Lost Love and Other Stories” The book has five different short stories.
“Lost Love”
A man was driving his car and it stopped suddenly. He had not got any petrol. He was lost in the country. He saw a girl. She was very pretty. He wanted to speak to her so he got out of the car and talked to her. He went to the village with her. Everything in that village was very strong. He didn’t understand but was happy there. She said goodbye to him and he had to leave. In a town, he asked a man about the village. The man told him about the village. There was a big fire in the village and everybody died. There aren’t any people or houses there now. For one day every ten years, the village lives again only for one day. You have to leave before morning, or you will never leave. He decided that next time, he wouldn’t leave before morning. He would stay with her.

This story was really sweet. At first, I thought this is pretty strange but it doesn’t matter for him if she was dead. He fell in love with her. I think this is nice story.

Other four stories are strange too. They are “The Doll”, “The Other Man”, “The Charm” and “Journey’s End”. I really enjoyed reading weird stories.

I hung out with Yoko and Rie today. They are my closest friends. I got to know them from Broad Casting Club. We went to Kumamoto city after school. We ate ice creams at McDonald’s. Ice creams at McDonald’s are on sale right now. We can buy them only for 100 yen. I ate flavor of Mango. It was very yummy. After that, we did our shopping. I bought a blouse. For dinner, we ate Tantanmen and Annindoufu at Sasanoha. We enjoyed our dinner. I want to go there again! We took Purikura! I want to hang out with them again!!!

I read a book called "Just like a movie."

Brad Black is a main character in this story. He loved the movies and one day he met Gina at the movies. They went to Salvo's Italian restaurant together. After that they started seeing each other a lot and fell in love. They wanted to get married. Gina thought money's not important. Although they were poor, they were happy. However, Brad thought they needed lots of money to get married. One day, they went to movies as usual and watched Dead Money. The movie was about a man and a woman. They loved each other but the woman married to another man. The man was really rich but very old and sick. About six months later, he was dead suddenly. She got all his money and married her boyfriend. Brad thought this was a great idea! One day he met a rich woman, Carrie. He loved Gina but he needed Carrie's money. Brad and Carrie got married. Brad lied to Gina that he had to go Vancouver. Brad tried to kill Carrie but he missed. Two days after, Carrie didn't go back home. Brad didn't know why. He tried to make police thought Carrie was dead. He took all Carrie's money and tried to marry with Gina. Brad and Gina were headed to an airport to go to Paris. Everything seemed perfect just like the movie. However Brad was caught by police. Carrie was alive. Carrie and Gina met at their work and they became really good friends. They found out Brad's idea. They couldn't love Brad after they found out it. Brad had to go to a prison. It was a sad ending.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I thought Brad was really stupid man. I don't think money is that much important. The most important thing in our life is love. This book was very interesting.

Essay 05 (The Worst Day in My Life)

The Worst Day in My Life

I will never forget my worst day in my life. That was May 26th 2007. Although this day was Saturday, I took a train to go to school to study with my boyfriend. We usually study or watch movies in a school library on Saturday until I leave for my part time job. I woke up in the morning and got ready to go to Tamana Station. The day seemed as usual. I got in my car and drove to the station. I thought I could make it to a train. However, a car in front of my car was very slowly. I had to stop every signal on the way to the station. I was irritated with this. When I got to the station, a train had left. I had to wait for a next train.

When I arrive at my school, my boyfriend was waiting for me. I felt bad that I kept him waiting. We had a lunch together and studied. My boyfriend didn’t look happy because I had many homework to do so I couldn’t care about him that much. I was sorry I couldn’t talk with him much. Time passed by very quickly and I had to leave for my part time job. I took a bus to go there.

I usually have to go to a part time job at 5 o’clock but I had to go there at 4 o’clock. I was recording my time card and something weird had happened to me. I couldn't move. I was so stupid. I was caught in a trap for mice. There were two coworkers there with me and they couldn't help laughing. I was so embarrassed. I didn't know there was a trap for mice. A coworker told me they always put a trap during the night and took off it before I came to work. That's why I didn't know the trap was there.

This day was my worst day in my life. I hope I would not have a bad day like this anymore.

I read a book called "Next Door to Love"
A main character in this story was Stella. Tony was Stella's neighbor. He lived next to her house. Stella started to like him. One day, she heard him on the phone next door. He was very angry. Tony was afraid of something. Stella was worried about him. Daisy was Tony's daughter. Tony loved her but he couldn't live with her because she lived with her mother, Tony's ex-wife. That was why he was sad.
Stella and Tony liked each other so they started to go out. She was very happy until she saw him with a woman. She was worried if he cheated. However it was his ex-wife, Kathy. Kathy came to Tony's house to tell him that she and her new husband decided to move to Scotland. They wanted to take Daisy with them. Tony was very sad. Stella and Tony decided to see a lawyer. The case went against them. Tom was very sad and angry. Stella suggested him to move to Scotland and live near by Daisy. Stella would go with him. They moved to Scotland. They saw Daisy every weekend. Tony was very happy.

I think this story was good. This story was telling us about life. I loved the phrases which Janet, Stella's best friend, said. Which were "Everybody needs someone." and "When you want to do something, just do it. Don't stop and think! Don't wait! Just do it." I agreed to her opinion. I want to do something without thinking too much. I was happy because Tony and Stella lived happily together at last and they could see Daisy every weekend.

Goal!

I watched a movie called "Goal!" today.
This story was about Santiago's life. He used to live in Mexico but he moved to America when he was a small child. Actually he and his family were illegal immigrants. They lived in Los Angeles. He was playing in a team and a man was watching him in a game. This man thought Santiago played soccer very well. The man asked Santiago if he wanted to play in England. It was great news to him. Santiago loved to play soccer and he was always dreaming to be a professional soccer player. His father didn't want Santiago to leave to England. Santiago moved to England with a help from his grandmother. He played very hard to be admitted by coach. This movie was very interesting. I want to watch "Goal!2"

Book Review 1-09

I read a book called "The Big Picture".
A main character in this story was Ken Harada. His job was taking photos for newspapers. One day he got a phone call from the boss of Tokai Photo Agency, Kenzaburo Yoshimoto. He told Ken to go to the Tokyo Garden Hotel at 10:30 to take Takahanada and his new girlfriend's picture. When he got the hotel, there were many photographers waiting for Takahanada. Ken was hungry and thirsty so he decided to go to a coffee shop next to the hotel. A taxi stopped at the coffee shop and there were Takahanada and his girlfriend! Ken was very happy and took a picture. However he almost died because of that photo. He got into the taxi. Next to his taxi was another taxi and a man had a gun in his hand.Ken got very scared. His flat was broken. He was afraid and called the police. He put the film in locker at Tokyo Station. He was trying to get a taxi but a car stopped next to him and they kidnapped him. He run away. He couldn't understand why someone was trying to catch him. He thought about the picture. Maybe something was on the picture. He looked at the picture and found there was a murder behind Takahanada.

This story was very thrilling! I love this kind of stories. I like taking pictures but I hope I won't take picture like Ken took.

fireflies

I went to see fireflies with my boyfriend in Kikuchi today. It was my first time went there to see them. We went to Kyoku-shi, Kikuchi. The signboard said that Kyoku-shi was the best fireflies town in Japan! I didn't know that till today. There were many many fireflies! The view was so romantic!There were too many fireflies on the tree as if it were Christmas trees! I want to go there next year too!

My part time job

I'm working at Mexican restaurant in Kumamoto city. I started working there from last March. I chose there because I was interested in Spanish. I'm learning Spanish at school right now and want to improve it. At the restaurant, everyone could speak Spanish except me. There are two Mexicans. I'm very happy because they teach me Spanish. There are many customers who are not Japanese come to the restaurant. I am happy because sometimes I could speak English to them. I'm studying English and Spanish at my work. I love this job. Mexican foods are very tasty and great! I recommend Tacos!!! Please come to eat at the restaurant!

Spider Man 3

Yesterday I watched a movie called Spider Man 3! It was very interesting! I love this series of movies! I have watched Spider Man and Spider Man 2. I thought Spider Man 3 was the best of all! I could learn about friendships, family, and love. I could understand how Mary Jane felt when Peter kissed his friend. I felt sad when Peter did it. If my boyfriend kissed to another girl, I would be very very angry and sad. Maybe I would hate him. They were almost broke up but they got together at last! Anyway, I recommend everyone to watch this movie! Spider Man 3 is one of my favorite movies!

half year anniversary

Today was a half year anniversary since my boyfriend and I started to go out. After school, we went to watch movie. We watched Spider Man 3! It was very interesting! After that we went to Kumamoto city. We ate dinner at Pronto. I ate "shrimp and tomato cream spaghetti" and my boyfriend ate "Japanese styled meat sauce spaghetti with eggplant and a soft-boiled egg". We also ordered "Roman style - margarita pizza". We enjoyed our dinner. It was great! When we started to go out, we often went to a bench near by Kumamoto Castle. We haven't been there for a long time so we decided to go there. We talked a lot. Recently, we had a quarrel a lot. Today, we talked real intention. We found out that we were jealous each other. I am jealous his past and he is also jealous my past. We don't want to get fights anymore so we should not be jealous. However this is pretty difficult for me. Anyway, I was happy that we were together for six months so far!

I read a book called "Help!"
A main character in this story was Frank Wormold. He was a writer. He lived with his wife, Teresa Wormold. She was a lawyer. In the morning, she told him to get a job. Although he was a writer, he has never finished his book. One time, Teresa read his book called "Every Morning" and she liked it. She sent it to all the big London and Hollywood film makers. However the film makers didn't answer and he didn't finish the book. She left to the work without her computer. Frank didn't like computers. He liked to write with pen. He went back to sleep and the postman came with some letters. He got the letter from USA. The letter said they wanted to make movie of "Every Morning". He was very happy. He hurried to the Waldorf Hotel to see Mel Parks. Mel told him to use a computer because his writing was not easy to read. Mel got him a computer. There was Chip inside his computer. Chip taught him how to use the computer. At first, he was very happy to have Chip but he wasn't at last. Chip changed Frank's story. He was very angry. He threw away his computer into the river. He got a new television and a car. He also threw away them. He went back home and he slept. Teresa came home for her laptop computer. He found out all the story was his dream. Frank started to write about his dream.

This story was fun to read. Many weird things happened to Frank but that was all his dream. I think writing his book by himself is very important. If Chip helped my homework, I wouldn't happy. Doing something ourselves are very important.

Essay 04 (A memorable day in my life)

A memorable day in my life

On spring vacation, I traveled with my boyfriend for the first time. This was my memorable day in my life. We went to Universal Studio Japan.

At first, we took a bus to go to Tenjin, Fukuoka from the traffic center in Kumamoto. Then we changed to another bus and went to Kokura Station. At Kokura, we had some free time so we looked around department stores. We bought some snacks to eat on the way to Osaka. We took a bus to go to Shinmoji. We went to Osaka by ferry from Fukuoka. It was my first time slept in ferry. It was very interesting. We ate dinner at a restaurant there. It was expensive and not tasty. However, eating while watching the sea was very romantic and I loved it. It was my first time taking a bath there. On the way to Osaka, we saw some bridges. The view was very beautiful.

At Universal Studio Japan, we rode many rides. My favorite rides were Jurassic Park the Ride, Back to the Future the Ride and Spider Man the Ride. We enjoyed riding them very much. We had our lunch at a nice restaurant. We ate an omelet containing fried rice. It was very great. We shopped around many stores to buy souvenirs. We took many pictures.

I enjoyed my first trip with my boyfriend. I want to go somewhere with him this summer vacation.

My family celebrated my 20th birthday today! We ate dinner together. We ate a cake and pizza. These foods are the meal I often ate on my birthday when I was an elementary school student. I was very happy! I really thank to my mother and my father for I am here right now.

I had a part time job today. I went there as usual and there was a surprise! Other worker started singing "Happy Birthday" in Spanish and prepared a cake for me! I was very happy! They gave me a Spanish study book as a present. I'm going to study Spanish more and I hope I can speak Spanish fluently at work. I really thanked them for celebrating my birthday. I'm glad I can work with these nice people!
